All About lil o' Me

My photo
Just call me your Budget Barista. I have been married for 20 years to the best man on this planet. He's sweet, caring, kind, but most of all he makes me laugh. We have Three adorable kids. A beautiful sweet pea girl, A 'superman' boy, and a love bug baby girl. We just love that we live where people vacation...where the ocean meets the sky. We live a wonderful life. I love my life and I thank Christ for giving it to me. Some random things about me are I enjoy baking, quilting, paper crafting, jewelry making, scrapbooking, and loving on my family. I am a Princess in the Kingdom of the King of Kings, diet coke drinking baby kisser. We are a homeschooling family but are part of a hybrid program where the children attend a 'classroom' 2 days a week and we do the rest at home. It's a blast. We also love to vacation and explore God's world around us. I think that's enough for now. :-)

FREE Movie Mondays

The Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa is doing its FREE Movie Mondays again this summer, and they’re kicking it off July 11 with Beach Blanket Bingo.

The movies start at 8 p.m. A selection of short films will also be shown.
You can bring your own picnics, but no barbecue equipment. You can also buy a meal from Patina Catering.
You can pay to park, look for the small amount of street parking available or park at the South Coast Plaza and walk over (which is frowned upon, I’m sure, by the South Coast Plaza people).
This summer’s movies include the following:

  • Harold and Maude
  • 7/18/2011
  • Featuring a remarkable soundtrack by Cat Stevens, this cult classic tells the somewhat dark, but always hilarious, story of teenage boy who meets an elderly lady at a funeral of a perfect stranger.

  • Victor / Victoria
  • 7/25/2011
  • Led by an all-star cast including Julie Andrews, James Garner, Robert Preston and Leslie Ann Warren under the direction of Blake Edwards, and a score by Henry Mancini, this musical comedy of errors and mistaken identities will certainly tickle your funny bone – whether you are a man or a woman!

  • Chicago
  • 8/1/2011
  • The critical success and boffo box office of this stage-to-screen adaptation is credited with the rebirth of the American movie musical.

  • The King and I
  • 8/8/2011
  • With iconic performances by Yul Brunner, Deborah Kerr and Rita Moreno, the film version of Rodger & Hammerstein’s classic musical is every bit as classic!
Where: The Performing Arts Center’s community plaza with the films projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall, 600 Town Center Drive Costa Mesa, (714) 556.2121
When: approximately 8 p.m.
Cost: Free
What to bring: beach chairs or other portable seating items, blankets, etc.
