All About lil o' Me

My photo
Just call me your Budget Barista. I have been married for 20 years to the best man on this planet. He's sweet, caring, kind, but most of all he makes me laugh. We have Three adorable kids. A beautiful sweet pea girl, A 'superman' boy, and a love bug baby girl. We just love that we live where people vacation...where the ocean meets the sky. We live a wonderful life. I love my life and I thank Christ for giving it to me. Some random things about me are I enjoy baking, quilting, paper crafting, jewelry making, scrapbooking, and loving on my family. I am a Princess in the Kingdom of the King of Kings, diet coke drinking baby kisser. We are a homeschooling family but are part of a hybrid program where the children attend a 'classroom' 2 days a week and we do the rest at home. It's a blast. We also love to vacation and explore God's world around us. I think that's enough for now. :-)

Centennial Farm- FREE and great for the kids any day of the week!

recently the kids and I went to the Centennial Farm at the OC fair grounds and had a blast. We got to see all types of animals, plants, and watch a couple of cows give milk (did you know that one cow can give 3-5 gallons of milk in one sitting...they do it twice per day!...no wonder it was a HUGE thing back in the day to OWN a cow).  We were there for a couple hours, learned a bunch, and had fun.  The kids LOVED the baby piggies. They were so cute! It's very open and has places to eat a bag lunch if you want to pack a picnic. We got there right at 1pm, it was a perfect time and wasn't crowded at all. Here's a little more info off their site.
"Centennial Farm is a three-acre working farm at the OC Fair & Event Center created to educate youth about agriculture and its importance to daily life. The Farm is home to fruit and vegetable gardens, livestock, and the Millennium Barn. Children and adults can view pigs, chickens, cattle, goats and more while strolling though gardens of lush vegetation. We do ask that you please do not pick our crops as they are used for educational purposes. Centennial Farm offers tours as well as general public hours."
